Anti Eff
ANTI-EFF is a blend of acids ideal for removal of efflorescence stains from all masonry and stone surfaces prior to sealing and protection.
Application
On concrete surfaces, ANTI-EFF should be applied as a diluted solution (one part of ANTI-EFF to 25 parts of water) and should never be any more concentrated than 1:15. Concentrated ANTI-EFF is corrosive and will cause pitting of concrete. Contact time should be limited to no more than 3 minutes. Clay and Terracotta surfaces are more resistant to the effects of acid and longer contact times and stronger solutions may be used. The surfaces should be rinsed and neutralized after application. In all cases it is recommended that a small patch of surface be tested before full-scale treatment. Always apply ANTI-EFF to a dampened surface. Always check in an inconspicuous area to ensure that no discolouration or patchiness occurs following application. Uniform application of ANTI-EFF is essential.
CAUTION
ANTI-EFF is a highly corrosive liquid containing a blend of Nitric and Phosphoric acids. Wear goggles and rubber gloves. Operators should refer to the MSDS for safety precautions.
